Solomon continues to build on improvements from previous years to strengthen insights provided from the Worldwide Natural Gas Transmission System Performance Analysis (NGTS Study). In 2025, Solomon is expanding our study’s offering to deliver deeper value and support participants in navigating operational challenges and their targeted goals. Improvements have been made to peer group gap analysis, results presentations, and data collection and review processes.
EXPANDED GAP ANALYSIS
The 2025 NGTS Study features a more comprehensive look at comparative performance, providing operators clearer visibility into their standing within the industry.
- BEST IN INDUSTRY PEER GROUP – Quantified gap analysis versus Solomon’s standard regional Best in Industry high-performing peers selected on operating expenses (OpEx), personnel cost, personnel work hours vs price, and energy performance.
- WORLD’S BEST PERFORMING GROUP – At the client’s option, Solomon will gap transmission system performance against the more rigorous World’s Best Performing transmission system group selected on superior performance in OpEx, utilization, personnel performance, energy efficiency, and reliability.
RESULTS PRESENTATION IMPROVEMENTS
In 2023, the NGTS Study results presentation was updated to deliver greater insight into improvement opportunities. This transformation will continue with future NGTS Studies, with high-impact analyses being added to the study presentation, bringing even more actionable insight to the surface.
IMPROVED EFFICIENCIES IN DELIVERY, DATA COLLECTION & REVIEW PROCCESSES
To improve the input data review process and data-to-insights workflow, Solomon is making investments in data analytics of the NGTS Study. Automation platforms for the study continue to be upgraded to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Input forms will now align with the Liquid Pipeline Study and Fuels Study formats, providing a comparison to historical input data for clients that previously participated in the NGTS Study. Further, to simplify and compress the data review processes, Solomon is enhancing data check applications which will help to provide the first round of data review within the input form structure.
The NGTS Study will now leverage Solomon Connect, our secure data sharing and collaboration portal, to ensure efficient data review experience and improved communication during each step of the process.
