What executives learn from benchmarking and why it is a key strategy for uncovering improvement opportunities.
Learn how comparative performance data can identify performance improvement opportunities that you might be missing. Every desalination facility is unique due to different combinations of technologies such as multi-stage flash, multi-effect distillation, and reverse osmosis. They differ as well in their capacities, operating regimes, ambient conditions, and other traits. Comparative performance analysis takes these differences into account in analyzing different facilities’ performance. This webinar is designed to show how the resulting comparative performance data allows desalination plant owners and operators to make more informed business decisions, minimize costs, and maximize availability and efficiency.
- How do you know what "good" looks like?
- How does your plant's energy efficiency compare to that of your competitors?
- What's more important - cost or reliability?
- Are you potentially overspending? Or under-spending?
- Is your plant staffed with the optimal number of employees?
Speaker: Cliff Watson
Cliff Watson has been in the power generation business for over 33 years. He spent the vast majority of that time operating, maintaining, and managing power plants at both the plant and executive levels. As a result, he has an immense appreciation for the challenges operators face to ensure their plants deliver – challenges that include finding the right balance between efficiency, reliability, and cost control. He also understands the importance of using the right data to make the right decisions for economic success.
Cliff has worked as a Senior Consultant with Solomon Associates for the past 2½ years. He enjoys helping clients within the power generation and desalination industries identify and close operational gaps, which, in turn, leads to increased efficiency, greater reliability, and improved margins.
