CHARLES REITH
Charles Reith is a Senior Advisor and Chairman of the Advisory Board of Solomon Associates. Mr. Reith served as the President and CEO of Solomon before retiring from the position in July 2025. During his 21 years with Solomon, he established Solomon’s consulting services business and led the company’s expansion in the Middle East region. While CEO, he also led Solomon’s corporate transformation. He continues to maintain executive responsibility for many of Solomon’s largest corporate clients in the Americas and Middle East. Prior to Solomon, Mr. Reith had a 20-year career with engineering and consulting services companies serving global energy and industrial clients. He received a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Syracuse University.
DAVID BOSSUNG
David Bossung is a Senior Advisor to Solomon Associates. Mr. Bossung served as the Executive Vice President of Solomon before retiring from the position in 2025. During his 30 years with Solomon, he was responsible for methodology development and intellectual property for all of Solomon’s comparative performance analyses. This includes Solomon’s analyses of refineries, petrochemical plants, petroleum pipelines, petroleum terminals, natural gas transmission systems, natural gas processing plants, liquefied natural gas plants, power generation facilities, and upstream operations throughout the world. Prior to Solomon, Mr. Bossung had a 13-year career at Dow Chemical. He received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
NELSON SILVA
Nelson Silva is a global industrial leader with a career spanning more than four decades of experience across the energy, mining, and industrial sectors. Mr. Silva has held senior leadership positions at Petrobras, BG Group, BHP Billiton, Vale, Embraer, and América Latina Logística. He served as Executive Director of Petrobras from 2016 to 2018, where he led the design and implementation of a new strategic plan and management system, contributing to major improvements in safety performance and financial resilience. Before Petrobras, he spent seven years as CEO of BG Group South America, transforming the company into the largest private oil and gas producer in Brazil. Mr. Silva is a Board Member of Nutrien Ltd. and a Senior advisor to Appian Capital Advisory and McLaren Racing.
CHERYL MCKINNEY
Cheryl McKinney is an energy industry veteran with a career spanning four decades. Ms. McKinney served as President of the Toledo Refinery JV Holding Company, and Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development for BP Products North America before retiring from the position in December 2020. Her 37 years with BP included both corporate and operating roles on multiple continents where she was accountable for North America downstream growth objectives, including Capital investment and M&A opportunities. She serves as a Senior Advisor on the Advisory Board of Solomon Associates and is a member of other industry advisory boards. Ms. McKinney also serves on the University of Akron’s Presidential Advisory Committee, where she received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering.
TIM D. LEVEILLE
Tim D. Leveille is a veteran executive with 38 years of industry experience, most recently serving as EVP & CFO of Sabic in Riyadh (2018-23). Mr. Leveille previously held senior leadership roles at Chevron and its affiliates including SVP & CFO of Chevron Phillips Chemical Company (“CPChem”) and Assistant Treasurer for Chevron operating companies and JV interests financing activities globally including intercompany funding arrangements. He has extensive global financial expertise, including 21 years working overseas, and currently serves as a Senior Advisor to the Advisory Board of Solomon Associates. Leveille holds an MBA from Columbia University and a BSC from Boston College.
JOSÉ FORMIGLI
José Formigli is a senior energy industry executive with over four decades of experience. He began his career at Petrobras in 1983 in exploration and production and later served as Managing Director of E&P until early 2015, playing a key role in the strategic development and execution of the company’s pre-salt portfolio. Mr. Formigli formed his own consultancy Forsea Engenharia and now serves on the Advisory Boards of Solomon Associates as well as operators, suppliers, and investment funds. Formigli holds a degree in Civil Engineering from IME and an MBA from COPPEAD. He is a member of SPE and SUT and is a Doctor Honoris Causa at the University of Aveiro/Portugal. He has received awards from SPE and IBP, including the Leopoldo Américo Miguez de Mello Award at ROG 2022 and the OTC 2025 Distinguished Achievement Award for Individuals.
