Building on the significant improvements to the 2022 Worldwide Aromatics Plant Performance Analysis (Aromatics Study), Solomon continues to invest in preparation for the 2024 study. This investment will bring improvements that will enable participants to identify potential opportunities for operational efficiency and gain the insight to advance aromatics complexes, meet climate commitments, and increase profits.
Environmental Considerations
Sustainability benchmarking is expanding in the 2024 Aromatics Study with ongoing efforts to improve benchmarking methodologies for environmental and safety performance. In 2022, Solomon added new sustainability metrics including the Energy Sustainability Index (ESI™) and the Carbon Emissions Index (CEI). This year’s study will be improved by focusing on enhancements to process and personnel safety, water and wastewater, and greenhouse gas emissions evaluations.
Updated Calculations
Solomon updated the input form and calculations for Table 2 of our analysis to be on a weight basis instead of a volume basis. This change helps facilitate the closure of mass balance for more accurate results.
Improved Efficiencies
In line with its commitment to continuous improvement, Solomon has been focused on improving the data submission and data verification process. We are excited to announce this year clients will have visibility into each step of the process and additional communication tools through a secure online portal to quickly answer questions and collaborate with the Solomon team. Stringent measures are in place to maintain the confidentiality of study data, with multiple layers of cybersecurity protections and safeguards in place to protect sensitive information.
